Injured runner needs motivation and inspiration

I am a runner as of 2008 and became a triathlete in 2009. I achieved my first goal of a 25 lb weight loss and completing my first sprint triathlon and 1/2 marathon at 45 years old. NOW the problem comes in, spring 2010- over-training caused a major hip/groin injury and my running days have been on hold since August 1, 2010. Needless to say I'm depressed and have packed on the lbs. Nov 30, 2010- I am facing the truth of a 10-14lb weight gain. I entered my current weight gain on my page in order to face reality and to figure out how I can get the weight off without running. Running was the magic key to speed up my metabolism and lose the lbs originally without it I face new opportunities. I sure would love to hear how other injured SparkPeople have lost weight despite their injuries. Thank you and God Bless!
