Christmas Movies

Sunday, November 28, 2010

I'm too tired and worn out to do anything do deep on here, but I'd like to get my three points. :)

Traditionally, I like to watch Home Alone while putting up my Christmas Tree, but two of my other favorite Christmas movies are Elf and Christmas with The Kranks, but I really like the Santa Clause movies too, and of course, White Christmas and It's A Wonderful Life. And Love Actually. It's not your typical Christmas movie, but I love it. So... you can see I LOVE Christmas movies...

What are some of your favorites?

I love It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, Miracle on 34th Street and my all time favorite is Scrooged with Bill Murray. I love the scenes with Carol Kane in fairy garb.

We have made a tradition of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. We still find if funny after years of watching it. IN fact, it was hillarious this Thanksgiving when I asked the family, who wants to say the blessing, my youngest says I will and then he quotes verbatim the blessing which is said in the movie by an ederly woman who starts it off with the pledge of allegiance.

We also like the Nativity story which tells the birth of Jesus in Nazareth and the journey that mary went on to conceive and deliver. It's a little slow moving, but poignant for the season.

There are also some living nativity scenes here in San Antonio, that we like to drive through, almost as good as a movie.--Concordia Lutheran has one where they give you a CD and you listen as you drive through, complete with cookies and hot cocoa.

Was just thinking about this tonight! I am going to go search for a bunch of movies and tv shows to DVR!

I told my kids I'd like to watch one Christmas show every night, if possible - like Grinch, Rudolph, Charlie Browne etc.

My favorite Christmas movies are: It's a Wonderful Life (that one is for Christmas Eve!) White Christmas, Miracle on 34th St. I also love Elf, Scrooged and The Santa Clause.
