Aha! I'm the first commentator!! Woohoo, me! :)
Oh, and no problem on reminding you...I was just super curious. hehehe.
So my first question is about your pacing. Do you think you kept up a 9 min mile the whole time, or do you imagine you had some toward the beginnging that were shorter and the 9 is an average? With all the training you did, I'm sure you got a better idea than someone who didn't prepare quite as much as to what your pace would be over such a long distance. Someone who is inexperienced at running long distane (such as myself) would probably not do a good job of setting a do-able pace.
Yay for not feeling like a stuffed sausage!! I hate that feeling, but getting there can creep up on you when you have so much food to sample. I swear, my plate was the least full of everyone at the dinner I went to and I shared it with my daughter. It was probably the smallest plate I've eaten in many years at Thanksgiving, but not because I was trying to eat well...I just didn't feel like eating very much. I did have some pie, though....
24,000 participants????????????????? That's more people than live in this town. I cannot imagine a race that size! It is beyond my comprehension! I bet it was a pretty cool thing to be a part of.
