I'm finally back home :)))
I had a lovely time with family and friends, and I saw my godson for the first time in a year. He's so funny and smart! He's 3 year old, very affectionate and lovely to be with :)
I also saw my niece who was 17 just over a week ago and is also very smart and an amazing young woman! I can't believe how grown up she is; I was changing her nappies just yesterday!
I ate far too much but I also managed to walk quite a lot, so hopefully there isn't too much damage.
Mr Gent rang me this morning to cancel this evening's date. He had observations at work last week and they didn't go too well so he's having more this week and needs to do a lot of paperwork. He'd texted me during the week to invite me to the cinema but of course I couldn't go, and we've half arranged to meet next Saturday :)
It's his birthday on Friday so I'd like to think of something nice to do. Question: is it appropriate to get him a present, when I've only just met him? And if it is, what? I've no idea what he might like!!! Maybe I should just get him a birthday cake.
I saw Maybe Baby for coffee when I got back last night. The man is weird! A good laugh though, but I do prefer Mr Gent :)
This morning my neighbour woke me up at 7.30 am to borrow the iron! I've spent the rest of the day zombie-like and I was thinking of missing the show altogether but on my way home last night I met a girl who'd just arrived in London for the first time and doesn't know many people, so I invited her to the BBC show as I had spare tickets and I'll be meeting her at the theatre. If I don't turn up she'll be stuck (and she reminded me of when I first came over and didn't know anything or anyone - scary! -, so I don't want to let her down).
I might walk there so I can do my 10 minutes cardio for the day :)
