Midnight Matinee with the Teens

Day 11 Getting Healthy IS my job
Spending time is a good investment

It is after midnight, so technically it is now Saturday.
I have been away from home, so I am just a little behind.

24 hours ago I was sitting in a theater waiting for the midnight showing of the latest Harry Potter installment.
I was sitting there in the company of 4 teenage gentlemen.

Left to right,
Jon, Dan, Matt, and Matt
Three of the boys are preacher's kids (mine included), three wore converse sneakers (mine did not).

I was perhaps one of maybe less than a dozen "adults" in the theater. We were in theater 16, and I don't know how many theaters there are there since I am unfamiliar with this particular cinema, nor do I know how many had Harry Potter screening. I do know that nearly every theater there had it playing. Amazing.

Although I have been driving minimally due to my back, because I was the adult, and it was after midnight, I was the driver. Tonight, or rather these wee hours, my back is unhappy with all the sitting in stadium seats, sitting in a car, and sitting in a theater.

I did receive "Thank yous" and hugs from all the teens. I was more than happy to spend the time at the movies with them. We got back from the movies about 3:30 a.m. I slept pretty well, but am still exhausted.
It was great to see my friend while we were out in RI as well, and had the chance to visit some, and discuss their son's college plans. Mine is the only high school junior in the bunch.

Spending time with friends in person, and on social networking tools, is a great way to spend time. It is time well spent, it is an investment in friendship.

My legs are too short to try to reach the seat, or I might have tried to add my little legs to the mix, lol!

I love Harry Potter and I want to go tomorrow to see the new one! Can't wait! I think my 16yr old wants to come with me. Yay! Time with teens is always well spent. They need us as much as when we were tying their shoes!

What a nice thing to do for your son & his friends. It will be something they will remember as not many parents would be willing to do that! I hope your back feels better soon.

Great shot of the teenage feet and legs! I love it. I never really got into the Harry Potter thing, never got what all the fuss was about. I remember having to take my son who is 31 now, to the opening night of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie for his birthday, with a bunch of his 12 year old friends ;)
