I've been going into work this week at 7am. I was working out before work but not now since I have to get up at 5am to walk the dog, eat breakfast and get myself ready and out the door by 6:30 in order to get to work on time. I have been working out after work instead of before work this week. I like leaving at 4pm, I avoid a lot of traffic, but I'm still not sure I like getting up so early! I'm still getting used to my new job and mostly it's pretty good so far.
I've been working out after work and that's been pretty good. But tonight when I was walking to the parking garage after work I was crossing the street and the light changed so I ran halfway across the street, like you do when you are crossing the street in the city in front of traffic. Well, my ankle was not prepared for running through even two or three lanes of traffic! It protested. I came home and decided to take a long walk instead of going into the fitness center to ride the bike and do my strength tonight. I have rode the bike and done my strength for 5 days in a row so with a sore ankle and extra walking I decided it would be okay. Well, my ankle swelled up more than it has since we went to Yosemite the first weekend in October. I took an ibuprofen and have been icing it but it still hurts like heck, though the swelling thankfully has gone down some. Hopefully it is fine tomorrow.
Yesterday my stats were 1165 calories eaten and 471 calories burned. I'm going to eat something else yet tonight but I'll be at or below 1200 eaten today, and I burned 517 calories. Funny how I burned more calories today than yesterday since I rode the bike yesterday and didn't today but yesterday I didn't get much walking in because I totally overslept yesterday morning before work and had to ask my fiance to walk the dog for me. I woke up at 6:08 and still managed to be out the door by 6:30!
