Good Post - About Not Needing Medication

One of my favorite types of testimonials is when I hear from members who start making healthy lifestyle changes and then don't need to take medications they had been taking.

Here's an example of one from yesterday:

AJAXN2002 has just submitted a new topic.

Title: One week into this~~~I fell asleep unassisted!!!!

Message: I have horrible insomnia and always take something to help me unwind at night. But after one week of healthy eating and alot of cardio, I was just TIRED last night. I drifted to sleep on my couch, my husband could not believe it! I NEVER SLEEP!! It was such a fabulous feeling to feel tired muscles. I felt like I was really accomplishing something!!!

    I too have been sleeping regularly. Previously, I wake up constantly, often not being able to go back to sleep. Since I have been keeping track of my food and my cardio, I am sleeping like a baby. And I wake every morning feeling refreshed and surprisingly excited about starting my day.

    As much as weight loss is a goal of mine, becoming healthier and getting off my meds is really what I want. I WANT to live longer and the only way I can do that is to become healthier. To no longer take my blood pressure meds and anti-depressants, anti-anxiety/panic meds and have my cholesterol readings come down....THAT would be heaven.

    Overall health, that is really my goal.

    I have been blessed by that relief myself ! I was on pain meds and anti depressants for 10 years...I lost 53 lbs and took up yoga and found this web site and the rest is ancient history ! I have been off of medication now for 1 and half years and I feel and look like a whole new woman !
