Good Morning Thrusday!

Ok DH's mood has dramatically improved. It started out Tuesday afternoon as miserable because the 2 full time jobs he was in final interviews with turned him down so he had to take the contract to hire job. But since then I have tried so hard to steer clear when he needs space and cheer him up when I can I think that he is loved and appreciated starting to sink in and clearing away the cranky. And I think he is looking forward to being employed again even if its not the job he wanted he IS working again.
SN (special needs) son is truly starting to understand more abstract cause and effect. For a while he understood things like if I ask for water mommy gets me water or if I push the blocks over they will fall but now its more about ideas. SO I can now say "If you let me clip your nails you can watch Cars movie". SN son had a TON of aversions when he was a baby and while he is much better now he still can't handle hair cuts or nail clippings. Hair cuts for my almost 5 year old is still a 3 person job: DH holds his body, I hold his head still, and the barber runs around trying to quickly cut his hair. I don't know if getting to watch the movie he wants will work for hair cuts but I am going to give that a try soon too because SN son is starting to look like a mop! But I did get his nails clipped this morning. He cried his eyes out and pulled his hand away a lot but I didn't need DH to hold him still so I could grab his arm and desperately try to clip those claws off! I still need to to his toes (THEY ARE SO BAD!!!) but waiting until this weekend to deal with them... enough trauma for a couple days!
I am about to get my step DVD in then a shower then off to the library again! DH will be starting his job soon (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so these are the last few days I have where I can get to the library during the day to get studying and home work done!
Still also need to work on the laundry before I do anything else! SN son's diaper AND Bebe's (19 month old) diaper leaked. SN son still doesn't want to use a potty but I am still working at it and his school therapists and teacher are still working on it and hopefully before spring he will be using the potty! Fingers crossed!
I am going to make it a GREAT day and I hope yours will be wonderful too! Keep sparking!
