It's summer in Arizona

I love the winters here. Hubby and I finally found a new walking path. Yippee!! He told me it doesn’t take much to excite me…LOL. When we lived in Tacoma, we used to walk along Ruston Way. It was a great location, right by Commencement Bay. Then we found another path that circled a new golf course. With hills! It was great too. When we moved to Arizona, we started walking around our neighborhood, which was all right for me, but hubby got tired of it and we both quit walking. So last week I asked him to find us a place where we could walk.
He found one that goes along the Colorado River, and we’ve been walking for three days straight! I am so happy that we found this. It only took us three years…LOL.
So I have this new pedometer. It doesn’t start counting steps until you’ve walked about 800. WTH?????? And it shows we only walked 0.8 miles. It felt like five miles. I am going to try resetting it and see if I can’t get it to be a little more accurate. I gave up on wearing it while I teach Zumba Gold because it doesn’t know how to count the steps. I don’t think it likes it when I walk backwards…LOL.
I saw my first turtle in the wild! Our walking path goes through a park that has a huge pond and alongside it was a small turtle. As I got a little closer, he dove into the water. I say dove in because he was up on a whatdoyoucall it…ledge…it’s like a curb around this pond. He was so cute.
I really miss the white dove. I haven’t seen her for over a year now, and I miss her so much. I thought I saw her last March, but it was a pair of Ring-neck doves that I saw that day after it rained. Some of you know the story, but if you don’t, it is here:
