So I had a belated bday dinner w/ my college roomie and I feel like it was a success. We shared fig hummus w/ pitas (unfortunately I don't think they were whole wheat) as an app and I had a small salad (spring mix, pears, mandarin oranges, chicken, few walnuts, pomegranate dressing on side) as my entree. I then had coffee w/ a bit of cream/sugar as my dessert. It felt good to be proud of myself for making good choices all the while still enjoying the company of a great friend. The only downside is when I came home and added everything up it came out to 600+ cals which seems like a lot (and could be off) but the hummus had more cals than I thought. This put me over for today but I will try to focus on the fact that I did well and not on the fact that I am a bit over. All in all I did much better than I would've had I not been trying and it's these small steps that will = results in the end.
