When Did It Become the Holiday Season?

Monday, November 15, 2010

so my favorite of all favorite sparkteams, Hold the Stuffing, started our holiday challenge this week. is it really that time already?!?!?!?! i cant believe that already thanksgiving is next week!!! WHAT??? i love the holidays, ALOT actually, but this year it brings on alot of stress. i have no idea how i am going to give my son a christmas with the money problems i am having (meaning of course that there IS no money). luckily he is only 2, so only getting a few presents wont make him too upset. every parent wants to give their kid the best of everything, and this year i cant do that.

so onto other things. this week i did not lose any weight. definitely fell off the bandwagon : ( but i plan to get back into it fullswing. i need to. i am (or was) doing well. and it feels good to be proud of yourself. i dont feel that this week.

apparently, i have inspired others to go on their own weight loss journey. i am on WW ( i do it at home at the moment because i cant afford meetings), and one of my moms friends noticed that i lost weight. she asked my mom how i was doing it, and then she joined herself! thats pretty awesome, if i do say so myself (which i do).

also, this week was the first time i had someone ask me if i lost weight. it was someone i dont know very well, and i dont see her very often. i was excited!!! i know my family and friends (at least some of them. some dont notice) say they see a difference, but i know its hard to tell when you see a person every day or quite often. so that was spectacular! and motivating. obviously, it can sometimes be hard to notice weight loss on yourself, and sometimes it can make a person (like me) lose their motivation. my scale says i have lost weight and the way my clothes fit say i have lost weight, but sometimes when i look in the mirror i just dont see it.

so im looking for a bit of extra motivation this week. i need to get my head back in the game. and that was my week in a few (ok a little more than a few. i like to talk) words. have a great one everyone!

tackle one day at a time. Don't look at the whole picture. Set a small goal for TG. Such as I will only take one helping of everything. Make it all fit on your one plate and not on top of everything else. Good luck
