Sunday was a gorgeous running day. It was 20 degrees cooler last year ( which I loved) but It wasn't 80 degrees either. I beat last year's time by two minutes so I was very happy considering I was sidelined for almost three months with an injury. On top of that, I wasn't able to join my marathon training group due to the injury and finances. It would be the first time in five years I wasn't running with the group. On the plus side though, most of the people from the group were doing the race. So I got to see a lot of good friends and coaches.
Now training for the Miami ING in January. This will be my 5th year doing that race.

    That is great. Keep it up. You are inspiring to me. Right now I just look forward to walking and doing mild exercises, but I look forward to building my strength up and achieving greater goals. Please keep blogging I look forward to hearing more.

    Excellent. Thanks for the comment on my first 5k...yep, I was hinting that I was interested in some other races...maybe the half marathon at some point? My goal has always been to do a marathon. In HS, 30 years ago, I was on track team, and we routinely trained doing 5-8 miles for much of the season, so I feel like I *could* do it. The actual racing isn't the most fun part for me, but having the goal and deadline, like doing a 5k this year was, was what finally got me to actually do it. Nice to meet you, and thanks again for the encouragement.

    Congrats that you ran!! You didn't let things like $$ or injury stop you! That is marvelous and I bet a few years ago, it might have been enough for you to say "no, I can't do it". Maybe someday I will run but right now I am glad to be exercising in whatever manner.
