I'm Tired

Saturday, November 13, 2010

I'm trying to think back....I think I used to start my day getting up by around 8:00. That of course after getting up many times during the night for my mom. (She doesn't get up as much now). Once I get her up, it's wash up, dress, breakfast, so I don't have much time to get my morning exercises in.

I then started trying to get up by 7:30, then 7:00 the 6:30. It finally caught up with me. I'm Tired!

I didn't get up until close to 8:00 this morning and mom still hasn't called me. I should be exercising instead of blogging. Duh!

We had friends over last night for cards and the wife asked if I was tired. Looking in the mirror, I can see why she asked.

Dark circles and wrinkles are taking a toll, soon the bags will appear. emoticon

I've been striving to get at least 100 min of exercising in a day, most days I make it. With the new tread mill, I do at least one programmed workout of 30 min and sometimes 2 workouts...that's an hour cardio right there! On the old treadmill, I was lucky to get in 20 min a day. My pedaler is good for 10 min.

Why is it so much more easier to do strength training than cardio, at least for me that is?

Well, she hasn't called me yet, so maybe I'll start doing something...it's 8:44...ooh, that's late. I'll have to get her up by 9:00. At least she is able to do some of her bathwork by herself.

Guess I shouldn't count of 100 min today. The later I get started, the lazier I feel.

By evening I don't feel like doing much and if we play cards it is definitely out of the question.

I've got to remember to unclick the box about Facebook. Why do they automatically have it checked? They should let us check it if we want it on Facebook.

Okay, just found out how to change facebook settings so box stays unclicked.

Hugs for finding time to sleep, workout, and generally take care of yourself. I looked in the mirror this week, too, and decided that I looked tired & old - not fun. Here's to both of us finding our spark again.

My total exercise, strength and cardio was 100 min, not just cardio (although I did do 100 min for a cardio challenge once)
One problem for being tired, my bad, is going to bed too late. After putting mom to bed around 11:30 (her choice), I put the tv on one of those talk shows to put me to sleep. I probably stay awake too much watching some celebrity. Just hard to go right off to sleep.

Might be right about the 100 min a day, too much. I need to set up a complete schedule with time limits. I time the 200 sit ups and 200 push ups (I don't do the pu but my own arm routine of tricep/bicep and raises to the same amount of scheduled reps). The 200 sits ups I do the sit ups and reverse crunch and obliques.

Actually, you know, my husband is a great help. He does most of the cooking and reminds me of important things like when her bills come due, etc.

    I should write a blog about that...memory.

Boy, do you have your plate FULL! You need to seriously take some ME time!!! Maybe you need to cut down on that 100 min of cardio a day! I used to walk for 100 min a day, but that was just too much for myself so now I only do 75-85 min a day and that works out so much better!

You can get fit doing 30-45 minutes of quality cardio 3 times a week. Remember balance. 100 min a day sounds like too much if you aren't getting enough sleep.

Once breakfast is over, I have more time for me. She just calls me from time to time. My memory is going fast though. I set alarm clocks to remind me of various things I have to do through out the day. lol
Nice to meet someone who has gone through the same thing.

I so wish I could jog/run. Just can't seem to get much time in. I'm better at walking.

It sounds like you have your hands full but still getting the exercise in. I took care of my mother and I had to get up early if I wanted to get my exercise in for the day. Once she was up, it was a full time job.
    Good luck.
