Lets discuss exercise

I am thinking, what type of exercise do I want to do when I am able to stand for more than 5 minutes at a time? I am leaning toward dancing, Like zumba or maybe some other type of Dancing. (If I make it FUN than I am hoping that I will Want to stay with it) I have been the type of person that has always said, "exercise! yuk!". And when I was about 22 years younger, I exercised for a little while but soon got tired and bored of it.Usually within 2 weeks. I want something that will make me say I can't wait till.....that was soooo much fun and I feel GREAT! That's what, in MY MIND, I am looking for. Any suggestions?

    I've been doing the sparks exercizes under fitness and walking my dog. Some days only up to the corner and back some days to the post office and back. And when I'm watching tv will lift my legs or do the swim thing with them or do different arm movements. When the commercials are on some times I get up and walk around the house even if its up and down the hall way a couple times. Even if its for only a few minutes at a time I figure its better than nothing.
    Also I have been going thru my closets, cabinets and drawers ... down sizing! Even if its a drawer at a time and what a pack rat I am! I have clothes that are 30 that's right THIRTY years old. Even if I could ever get back into them those big padded shoulder clothes it would make me feel like a linebacker. I figure not only will I be getting rid of a lot of unwanted stuff it keeps me busy. Wish I was more like dawnwaterwomen. Her blogs really inspire me. But Yeah I hate exercising.

    I think it's important to do what you enjoy, but remember that you can learn to enjoy some things if you establish a routine. I used to lift weights. At first i dreaded it. After a while it became such a part of me that my day was out-of-sorts when I couldn't go. Good luck to you.

    Zumba would be fun. But keep in mind exercise wont always be fun but if you get in the habit of doing it, it becomes enjoyable in a different way.
