Can I keep this up?

In October I exercised at least two hours every day, mostly on Walk It Out and Wii Fit Plus. I just finished my second Island on WIO yesterday and loaned the game to a friend to try. That is reason number one why I am not sure I can keep up the level of exercise this month.

Reason number two is because as we get closer to Christmas I get busier - with family things and shopping, like everyone and also because I teach at a community college I have end of the semester exams, projects and final grades.

Reason number three is because I may be getting burnt out on exercise right now. I may be..... but I'm not sure - maybe I just am tired tonight.

But over-riding all these reasons that exercise will be more difficult are the reasons I need to do more exercise - more calories eaten during the holidays, more stress during the holidays and I really need to stay healthy! Those are more important than all the reasons not to exercise - so I'm going to keep on keeping on!

    Boy do I hear you. I have company coming for Thanksgiving so I'm already busy trying to get house cleaned with everything else. You know we can do it. Good luck with everything.

    Glad that you can see that these are excuses and that you need to continue to exercise. That doesn't mean that you can change to something different. Can you walk at lunch? Can you get a different video program? Exercise can get boring if you don't try some new things.

    You will be more effective at doing all the things you need to do if you take care of yourself first. emoticon
