15 days into my re-vamp (a blog in progress)

I finished reading the SPARK.
I found it very motivational. Very simple. Just what I needed to rewrite my own health program.

I have added more exercise--10 minutes every morning. If I don't get motivated at home before work, I do 10 minutes of easy strength training at the office--squats or what I call chair squats (legs out straight, hands on the seat of a sturdy chair and bend your arms to lower your butt towards the floor) or if the weather is not bad, I walk around the building.

I am finding that because of the weather it is harder for me to get outside and walk after work. So I need to find more cardio to do at night at home. This is were I get unmotivated. When I am outside walking no one bothers me. When I am at home everyone needs me!

As much as I love my family, sometime I just need "me time" I try to incorporate them into the activity of the evening, but they have often just come home from some sport or practice. So by next week, I hope to have this worked out!

Regardless of the challenges I have faced externally and internally, I am making progress. I am losing weight, I am losing inches, and I am sticking to my own goals---even if they need to be tweaked to be more practical.

Spark has been an excellent resource. And everyone out there supporting--notes on my blog, sparkpage, activity feed---all of you have helped me get to this far---for that I thank you, and hope you will join me for the rest of my journey!
