The Weight is Coming Off!

I am thrilled to see the weight coming off! I am now 198 lbs! At times I had wondered if I'd ever see a number under 200 again.

With a back, hip and knee injury, it's easy to make excuses to not exercise, but the pain is there whether I work out or not. So I figure if I sit on the couch and eat junk food, I just keep getting bigger. But if I throw a knee brace on, and am careful not to aggravate my back and hip too much, I can exercise. And of course changing my eating habits isn't going to hurt my injuries but may actually alleviate some of them. For instance if I don't have to carry so much extra poundage, my knee won't be under as much stress so may actually feel better. The same may be true with my hip and back too. Only time will tell.

I have yo yo dieted and exercised many times before prior to my injuries, but I think I have the resolve this time to actually stick with it. I began my routine Sept 27, 2010, so it's been roughly 5 weeks. I've lost 13 pounds which doesn't sound like all that much, but I can feel how baggy my pants are getting, and went from the furthest hole in my belt to the 5th hole!

I am looking forward to the Spring where I may actually be in a small enough size to wear some cute style clothes instead of hiding in jeans and t-shirts. I am always so self conscious of my arms, and hope I can wear tank tops without embarrassment about my arms.
