Last Toe Update, I hope!

For my last formerly broken toe update, I believe. Finally, I feel like the darn thing is well. After I broke my toe and had it straightened, I felt like steep inclines bothered me. Well, on Tuesday, I tried incline 8 on the treadmill, an incline that a month ago my toe hurt when I tried it. Guess what? I did incline 8 for 60 minutes on Tuesday and today (Thursday) and my toe does not seem to be bothering me! Woohoo! Finally, is all I can say. It has been 5 months, as of Oct. 27th ish. Never realized it could take that long.
The toe doesn't quite look the same/feel the same as it used to. It sits just a tad higher than my other toes, but as there isn't pain, I assume this is fine. I will be scheduling my regular checkup with my general practitioner soon. (And getting updated cholesterol scores. If loosing 40 pounds does not improve my cholesterol numbers, I am going to be a grouchy woman for a few days.)
Lastly, I will say that, though I am not up to the full intensity that I was doing before I broke my toe, I finally think I am on my way there. Earlier in October, I felt like i just couldn't progress. I tried a higher speed on the treadmill and couldn't seem to do it, and needed longer recovery times than I used to before I broke my toe, etc. But one thing I used to do is play a numbers game, can I burn 600 calories in 60 minutes on the treadmill. (Yes, I know those numbers from the treadmill are possibly inflated.) Well, the answer is, I can. I did today. In time, I may get higher, as I was before I broke my toe.
Now, let's just hope I don't break something else walking into my own garage again! (If you are tired, don't do that last thing, go to bed!)
