Ok, ok, ok - my dear friends... I've been "called out" too many times now (lol) - "what happened to your blogs?!?!"
. (sigh, laugh) I've got so much on my mind lately, that it's hard to write right now. soooooooo... (smiling)... I'll be doing the opposite for this time around.
:::::::::This is my OCTOBER 2010 WRAP UP:::::::::::::
This is me before. Ugh.
Nov 2009 - 210 lbs. BMI 34.4%
After over a year of learning and making mistakes, I am now:::
*Solidly down 23 pounds... and somewhere around 25 inches...
It's amazing how much straighter I am now.
I still have 45 more pounds to go. BUT!!!
*I am faster...
(9/5/10. First 5K Complete - 42:25 - Can you believe it? I'm a runner!)
(10/16/10. First Diabetes Walk - wasn't a race, but started at the end of the 2,000 people pack and finished in the top 50.)
*...and stronger than ever.
(10/29/10. Critical Mass (bicycle) ride - Halloween. 32 miles in 2 hours. Not a race, but finished in the top 15 riders (out of 200). I cycle serious now. ha.)
*Also I notice my shape is definitely coming back more defined...
(This day I put on my vest and it was loose!)
*And I'm playing dress up again.
(I was headed out to a reggae concert, and I looked down and saw no tummy pooch...(lol) )
*Overall I am finally feeling comfortable in my skin again... which means I'm having more fun.
(10/10/10 - At Miami's Caribbean Carnival that was off the chain! Had to dance...
So for all of us... excuse my french... "slow-as-hell" poundage losers. Go US!!! We are the tortoises to all the hares out there moving at half to one pound a week versus everyone else sloughing off weight 3-4 pounds a week at a time. I say to you, to us, if we're moving slowly, we're at least still moving. It took me a year for 23 pounds, BUT, it's off and I'm still going.
And I've been struggling with the same 5 pounds for the past two months, up down, up down. (sigh) But that's another story for another day. We press on because it is a battle, but I personally know it's a battle I can and WILL win. Inch by inch...
So again, I'm down 23 lbs for sure, with BMI at 30.8% dropping 4.4%. 45 more pounds to go...
Hope you liked the pics... I remember where every pic of me would make me cringe, but it's nice to finally be taking pics I like again. Yay. (:P)
Next hurdle...Thanksgiving. eek... (:P)
Blessings!!! And *Hugs* to everyone.
...for reading. Leave me a note... I love that!
