Today is my day off, but I am spending it doing homework as usual. I have to give a presentation and turn in a paper tonight that I have to finish up! Jake's parents left for Florida for the winter yesterday, so the house has been lonely, but the good news is that I won't have to worry about getting behind on laundry anymore since I can use the washer whenever I want. I can also experiment more in the kitchen with healthy recipies now too (when I have time). One more month until Christmas break. Then I will have some more time on my hands because I won't have any classes. I am hoping to use that time to get a lot of other things on my to-do list done that I don't have time to do otherwise. But I will definitely be relaxing a lot too.

Jake's mom made TONS of different kinds of cookies before she left, and they are all still here. I have been eating WAY too many sweets the past few days. It's really bad. I need to get back into eating healthier! What I really need is exercise. After today (when I get caught back up on my homework) I will try to walk every night after work on the treadmill, on nights that we aren't going out. I know I will be exhausted, so we will see how that actually goes. I just need to give up all the excuses!

Hi Girl!!! I am sorry that you have a busy schedule...but have you tried to make a schedule for yourself? I know this sound silly, but the first year in Med school, I had professors hammer it in our heads to make a schedule, in which, we block out 8hrs of sleep first. Then about 2hrs for lunch, dinner, and breaks. And then a half hour for working out. This may sound nasty, but I get my workout in early just so I don't have to head for the shower. So before going to taking a shower, I just go workout. And then I have the whole day to do whatever I want to do.

You've read my blogs where I've said I had a pretty good schedule, and I don't for me being home isn't as productive as going to the university library, seeing others motivates me to study.

Not sure if you have tried this already or not. But at least try it for like 4days. Years a go I read an article that said if your trying to make changes in your life, but you're scared, then try it just for 4days. At least you can tell yourself, I only need to do this for 3 more days.

Also, if you do decide to make a schedule, block out 8hrs of sleep, 2-3hrs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and of course your job. And try to block out 15mins of workout...and see how it goes.

I started this week, and trust I feel less guilty for sitting around and studying all day knowing that I have already done exercise..and I feel less stressed...and more happy...

    Hopefully this was helpful!!! emoticon
