More Half review

Thanks so much for your encouragement! I am still basking in the glow of finishing my first Half and finding it difficult not to tell everyone I see about my accomplishment. I did put a 13.1 magnet on my car, but am otherwise trying not to bother the people at work with my race report. At least you chose to click here, right?
After tons of planning and careful packing (3 outfits to prepare for any weather possibility) I got to the race without my visor. My beloved visor - I never run without one. There were not stores open in the town hosting the race, and I was really panicked. It was a beautiful sunny day, too. Ugh. My running partner offered to let me run in his hat, which was very nice, but I was worried I'd get too hot with my head completely covered. I ended up being fine and not feeling like I needed it, although I am sure I have a few more crows' feet as a result.
So next time, even more careful packing. The next morning I found it where it had fallen out of my bag when I moved my stuff into my friend's car to travel to the race. Oops.
After 2 days of rest, my knees feel pretty much fine. Sunday morning they were both stiff but by yesterday mornign it was only the right one that still was stiff. I hope to do a short, easy run tomorrow but am glad that I'll have rested so long before trying to run again.
Now the question is, when to do another Half? There is one coming up November 20th and my friend (who ran with me on this one) is considering it. The course is hillier than the one we just ran, which is a con, but is relatively close, which is a pro. Hmmmm. Can't decide if I just want to consider it because he is (I hate to be left out!) or if I really want to do it. I welcome your suggestions!
Thanks again for your encouragement. SP rocks!!
