Wow, that's sore!

Monday, November 01, 2010

Early blog tonight so I can prep for bed before Gossip Girl is on ^_^ It's my one really AWFUl television show I watch. Everything else I watch is intellectual or foreign, lol. I love the clothes and have a mini crush on Chuck Bass- a white guy, I know! It happens from time to time, but in my true anglophilic nature, he is technically British.

Today was day one of the Warriors November Challenge and I did awesome! Even have my snail mail bit ready to go, yay. I was good with food, barring a little bit of candy. Let's face it the day after Halloween, there is candy everywhere :P No fast food, and a tiny tiny bit of soda and ALL of my water, wohoo!

My arms and upper back are so flipping sore from yesterday! I've been on pain killers for twenty four hours (made a preemptive strike before bed last night), and it's still not over. I think this first week is going to be really hard physically. But despite that, I went running! I started on week two of C25K and it was just the right amount of challenging (week one always seemed too easy). As I wrote before, I'd love to have a hard day; C25K and 30 Day Shred, and a light day, with the Wii or tennis, but I'm thinking for the first week or two, I'm going to have to be happy with consistency over intensity while my body gets back in the swing of things.

Today, in a productive sense, was really messy. 8AM executive meeting- I got there just in time, but was on the phone with my mother who was hysterical. She had the first court date for the divorce. She was worried she was going to be late because she started driving the wrong way this morning, so I was trying to give her directions and calm her down. It was nothing short of miserable- she just yells when she's like that. Then her lawyer was late (apparently typical?) though Mom still made it to the courthouse five minutes early. My dad did show up, and is planning to not hire a lawyer if he can help it. His acting was on full tilt, his usual vortex of gloom and depression was triple its typical size according to Mom. Dad already vented some of the anger at my brother, and the neighbors too it seems. Mom had a call from the neighbors ex-wife whom she talks with occasionally. My dad went to ask if he could leech off the neighbors wi-fi and (lied) told the neighbor how my mom had taken everything and blah blah blah. At least he hasn't come after me yet :P

During the executive meeting I wanted to strangle Lawrence, who just drives me crazy at this point. I couldn't set through the morning speaker I arranged because I don't like her and I'd heard it before. So I worked in the office, got all my reports done, had my committee meeting. By then I was flat worn out and had to come home, at about 1PM. I ate and took a really unsatisfying nap all afternoon trying to feel better. Then I got my run in, and well here I am. Nick worked early (9-5 technically) but he's still not home. He's sold FOUR cars today. FOUR!!!! He's only ever sold two in one day before. I took him some dinner at about 5:30 and he still hasn't eaten it, three hours later, the poor thing. At least Gossip Girl will keep me up through 10PM so maybe I'll get to see him before bed. We haven't seen each other all day! But that's life, it happens. I still love him, and he's still gorgeous no matter the hour, lol. I could have jumped him when I saw him the parking lot, he was wearing my favorite suit and tie, yum. Lucky for him I was too sore, haha.

Whew, that's enough for today I think! Thanks for reading and all the support!!! emoticon

Well I'm glad you're kicking butt on the challenge already! Way to jump back in with both feet! Sorry the rest of your day wasn't so awesome, but hey, attitude is everything! And Nick sold FOUR cars?! NICE! Cha-ching! Hahaha.

Hehe! Sounds like an awesome day food wise and fitness wise..You're right to shoot for consistency over difficulty the first week. Hopefully the sore (though sucky) is the "good sore" and not the "bad sore" -- I guess you'll know more tomorrow!

Sounds absolutely miserable emotionally o.0; Is your mom alright? My mom is like that--she blows up and goes chaotic until she can get a grip and then she's right as rain. She's gotten a lot better lately but I feel like I understand what you mean.
