Time for my favorite thing; a pre-bedtime blog. It helps me unwind and see where tomorrow needs to go. Mom spent the whole weekend here and it was nice (some days I just get worn out!) I made chili, Nick made breakfast this morning. Mom got things sorted out and relaxed. She has the first court date tomorrow morning to begin divorce proceedings, so it was especially good that things were nice this weekend. I did some cleaning, got all the laundry done, including the new flannel sheets- we have two sets for the winter now!! Flipped the mattress, stayed on top of ALL the dishes. Just left a little cleaning for the week, so that's nice.
Didn't drink a lot of soda today- and it was 7-up when I did, and had a bit of water. Food was not so great, had McDonalds with Mom, she wanted a fish sandwich, plus a big Sunday breakfast, mush, bacon (only two pieces!), juice.
The good (though slightly bad) thing was Mom gave me an early birthday present and we bought Just Dance 2. Some of you remember how much I loved the first one! The sequel is just as good! I wish they had more Bollywood songs, the one they do have is SO fun! I need to have a little Spark party for my local Spakers and have everyone play it, it's just that good! I played too long though, about 80 minutes! Lots of stretching, pain killers, and a bath tonight. I have to be up super early in the morning. Mondays are long!
I applied for my (very nearly) dream job yesterday. I worked for hours (with some help too) on my application Friday, and filled it out last night. Someone at my internship is writing an e-mail Wednesday to help get them to LOOK at my application. Plus I'm prepping something to walk over to help push it into an interview. It's an Assistant Special Event Coordinator position at the Statehouse. I know! But it's temporary (for now?).
I joined a team challenge for November. I think I'll have to get on the scale tomorrow X_X I know it's bad and I don't want to. The challenge doesn't say we have to weigh ourselves or anything, but tomorrow is the starting date and I just need to face it. Do measurements at night, ugh.
My big thing for November is to cut out the fast food. It's crept back into my life (even with our Taco Bell being rebuilt!) and I don't like it. Too much diet soda too, but one thing at at time! I know I have some lunch and dinner meetings so I'll have to be careful there (no desserts, keep it balanced).
I'm going to hit the exercise hardcore, half an hour a day, bar none. I'm planning to mix it up with running (C25K), 30 Day Shred (my favorite), and Just Dance 2, which has a 'sweat mode.' I'd really like to do 30DS and running one day (so an hour work out) and have my "off "day be fun with JD2. We'll see, that's for sure. I'd love to be using the Wii Balance Board, but we lost one of the feet you need to use with it on carpet X_X I'm so crushed. Does anyone know where to buy replacement feet? It's so vexing as I'm very clean and organized, so to lose one of these things is so unlike me, and I even made a dedicated search for it.
