My Cousin the Swamp Monster (Really!)
A new friend who also insisted she was a cousin and was trying to get GD to sport same hair style.
Notice the ghostly circles. It wasn't raining.
GD and I had a great time.
For those who have been following my vertigo and fatigue issues, I took five pre-emptive naps throughout the day to be able to do this. GD also let me hang on to her through the maze so I could stay upright. It was so worth it and so good for my soul. GD is one of my best friends. Thank goodness she still likes to play with me.
My other best friend here is also related to me. My cousin the Swamp Monster took me back through the maze with the lights on (during a lull) so I could take pictures. It was a fantastic opportunity and one of the best Haunted Houses I have been through. I think it helps that the Grange is located five miles off the highway and twenty five miles from the nearest town of any size. When you leave the highway there are no lights and lots of curves on a narrow country road. The fog rising off the fields was a little creepy too. The first year I took the grandsons from the city they were more frightened by the country drive in the middle of the night than the Haunted House.
Hope all of you have a wonderful and safe Halloween Weekend.
