Re-vamp--still in progress

So I recently set out an exercise plan that I did not stick to.
I think I have figured out a few things.
One of which is I have allowed myself to be overwhelmed with Spark.
I also read in the Spark book a nice little phrase in one of the success stories "I approached my weight loss like a job--it just had to be done so I got up and went to work" (something to that effect.)

That being said, going into week two of my revamp:
Continue with the exercise plan.
If I can not walk because of the weather, replace it with an extra exercise video or some Wii dance, or other fun activity

I have removed my self from many of the group challenges--I am just not ready to have so many obligations--I need to focus on myself first and make my changes habit before adding more.

I also changed my fast break goals to be more suited to me, and not just the pre-populated goals.

I have also decided that for every day I keep my spark streaks going, I will give myself a dollar to go towards my handbag reward I plan on winning 1/2/2011 when I meet my weight loss goal!

So like I said--re-vamp in progress--The new me is on her way!

    I completely understand being overwhelmed by all there is on Spark. I too can at times find myself spending too much time worrying about all kinds of little things that side-track me and my progress.
    Good for you in knowing what you need to do to help you, for yourself.
    Just remember that your Spark friends will always been here, whenever you need them to encourage and support you.

    kudos to you for knowing your limits and for knowing how to step back and evaluate things rather than give up. i too was overwhelmed by this site a few times before i really jumped in and started using it. go girl, you rock!

    I really like your approach. I was so overwhelmed when I first joined that I almost never logged back on. I, like you, have adapted it where it will help me, not stress me.
