Still on a Plateau

Friday, October 29, 2010

I have been stuck at this weight for way too long, about 3 months. I had been busy going here and there, and not tracked my nutrition like I should, but now that I am doing that, I am still stuck. I have tried changing up my exercise routines, but nothing yet. It isn't like I couldn't live well and be happy at this weight, but I really feel the personal need to lose those last 9 pounds.

What to do...what to do...

Thanks for your comments. You are right, it isn't easy to just BE at this spot, but I have learned that if I don't keep exercising I really miss it. So, as you said, it isn't the number I want, but the health and care of my own body I should be working on. emoticon

I wish I had some great advice for you but I appear to be on a plateau also, so just hang in there! Hopefully we will both get through this!

Hang in there and don't give up! Plateaus are a test of our resolve to pursue health for the sake of pursuing health, and not for external reasons like our specific weight. I know that to some extent that number does matter but in the end I have found it more helpful to focus on health and stewardship of my body than external things.

Having said that, I get it! I was on a plateau for 6 months and it was hard, but it was honestly the most important part of my journey.

    Hang in there!
