Weight Loss

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

I lost 2.2 lbs this week! I tell you it truly a struggle to lose and keep off weight. I'm finally down to 41 lbs. My goal is still to lose 10 additional pounds by Christmas. It would be great to lose 50 lbs altogether by the time I visit my sister and her family in Georgia for Christmas. This is the time of year when losing weight becomes very difficult. I recently purchased a upright exercise bike. It doesn't have any bells or whistles, but, it has the basics. I normally go to the gym in the morning, but, decided to have something on hand in case I don't feel like getting out.

Way to plan ahead for the fall/winter excuses about heading to the gym. Having the bike in plain view will help motivate you to do at least 10 minutes!

Congratulations on the weight loss. This is the time of year for me too when life is so hectic, temps are cold, and you look for comfort food. At this point the scale just doesn't seem to move much for me but I am actually in the size clothing I wanted to aim for in a goal. So its a toss up at the moment and I will be happy with maintaining for now.

I haven't forgotten our challenge by Thanksgiving but its definitely seeming like a challenge right now.

My good news is I found someone who's a welder who is going to try and fix my elliptical trainer where its cracked in the frame. The company won't stand by its lifetime warranty since I got it 2nd hand!

You are doing so great and should be proud of yourself. How are you doing at hitting the highways? I've gotten used to the state highways in my area with no issues. My problem is tackling traffic in our busy military town.

Stick to those healthy habits, get that exercise in and give that bike a nice workout, and look at all the positives you've got in your life. Your family must be very proud. emoticon

Excellent plan! I have a bike in the cellar (in case of working late and missing gym). Congrats on your success!
