I thought I was doing so good...

I thought I was doing so good with my eating habits the last couple of days. I just finished logging my food and see that I am 100 calories over today and over in fat. It appears too much salad dressing and cheese may be the culprit. I was over Monday too, but I knew I would be going to Red Robin for a burger and fries. It's just difficult when you think you are doing well and then find out you really aren't. So, I guess I will have to re-strategize. On the bright side though, if it weren't for the tools available on SparkPeople, I wouldn't have realized my calorie and fat intake was over today.

Anyone have any suggestions or helpful hints, please do share.

    Fireman365 has also downloaded a bunch of restaurant nutritional guides to our shared google docs so we both have access to the information. It's WONDERFUL...if we decide to do lunch with family and/or friends we can look at them quick on our phones and make healthy choices. Don't give up!!! I wanted to a couple weeks ago as i walked through the Wal-Mart grocery section and felt lost and lonely in a world of food. Having a partner doing to the spark program is such a tremendous help - He was there for me and we got through the day (within our calorie ranges). We're all in the same boat - so I say one/two days don't sweat it! It's better than where we came from of everyday. You already have the tools - keep going!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

    I enter my food into my cell phone (motorola droid X) this has been a life saver. i always have my cell phone and spark people is right there. I click, add my food and see right where I am at for calories remaining for the day before I eat anything else. I have found eating healthier foods I sometimes have trouble getting enough calories. Keep up the good fight. Find the new healthy you. It isn't about being skinny, the goal is healthy. emoticon

    You know I have been having the same experience and isn't it always the littlest item that you wouldn't have thought twice about. But thank God spark people is free, and we can find our limits and all the loop holes we need to. Hey, I say live the journey don't let it live you.

    If I know my plan for the day I'll enter it early and see how it works out. If I have enough time I'll play around with the food to get my nutrients right too - but More often than not I don't go that far. :)
