Last (really) long run before half

We will do 8 miles next weekend, but yesterday's run was the last and longest before the Half on the 30th. 11.5 miles. My foot held up well. BOTH feet were hurting a little by the end and knee hurt beginning at mile 8 or 9. I adjusted my knee strap/brace (I wear a Cho-pat strap on one knee and a regular runner's/jumper's knee strap on the left) to get through the last few miles.

My overall pace was just under 12 minutes a mile. I'd like to do 11:30 per mile in the actual race and think that is doable. I would like to finish under 2:30 but also realize that it may be a matter of just finishing. The 11.5 yesterday is the longest I have ever gone. I didn't run the whole time (3 minute run intervals with 1 minute walk) and plan to use the same intervals in the race. If I feel good at mile 10 I may run through the end. I may also crawl the last 3.1. Before I hurt my foot, I was shooting for under a 2:15 finish, but that is just not going to happen this time.

My running partner had to stop around mile 8 with IT band pain. I am not sure what that means for her for the race itself. When we started we didn't realize how we would be effected emotionally. We both have had injuries that have taken just as much of a toll emotionally as they have physically. There will definitely be tears on race day, no matter how it ends up!
