Now that I have my kitchen back, it's time to plan meals and start cooking. We were completely off track last week eating convenience foods for the most part. That generally means eating less than stellar nutritionally balanced foods. I'm going to take some time this morning to plan out meals for the week and plan the shopping accordingly. DH does the shopping and he's been buying simply based on sales. While savings are great, his choices have meal planning VERY difficult. I'm also to blame here, I didn't prepare a list for him. I was so focused on my test that I let him wing it. Winging it is never a good idea when it comes to grocery shopping!
I'm going to go through the sparkpeople recipes this morning and try something new as well. I'd like to find a new slow cooker recipe to try on one of my karate days. It'll be so nice to come home to a hot meal. I also found a recipe on another site for Italian Wedding soup -- it sounds delicious. I thought I'd give that a try. The weather has turned very cool here ~ I'm looking forward to some good old comfort foods, but want to keep it healthy.
I am hoping that with some planning, I will make better choices this week.
