Finally!!! 30DS Results & Insanity Beginnings... Plus Running!

Saturday, October 16, 2010

So it's been one month since I've blogged... Sorry. It's been a myriad of reasons why I've been MIA. But what's important is that I'm back and going strong... so far.

I finally have my results for you from my 30DS experience. I started mid July and had a couple week hiatus a few weeks in so it actually took me 2 months or so to get it done. I haven't gained much (just like a lb) or lost any weight since I've kinda been on this low point which is okay... At least I haven't gained right? So my beginning measurements were:

Neck: 13"
Arms (average): 13.13"
Waist: 37"
Hips: 43.25"
Thighs (average): 25.5"
Calves (average): 15.38"
Weight: 175lbs

Final 30DS results and Insanity Beginning results are:

Neck: 12" (-1")
Arms: 12" (-1.13")
Waist: 33" (-4" - This is were I loose my weight first... especially around my ribcage.)
Hips: 42" (-1.25")
Thighs: 24" (-1.5")
Calves: 15.25" (-.13" - this is the area that I have the least amount of fat to loose.)
Weight: 163

Totals Lost are 12lbs and 8.38"! Not bad eh? Especially since most, if not all of that was done within a months time.

I just started Insanity on monday... Even though I wanted to start a month and a half ago. Oh well... I've started and that's all that matters. There's a quote that I found that has been my motivation to keep going... Right now it's easier cause it's new but after a while it may get more difficult... I have to remind myself that "If you have the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed."-- David Viscott

Insanity has been good... DEFINITELY lives up to it's name. I did my fit test on Monday and here are my totals:

Switch kicks: 61
Power Jacks (These are killer!): 45
Power Knees: 93
Power Jumps (Phew!): 34
Globe Jumps: 8
Suicide Jumps: 11
Push-up Jacks: 15
Low Plank Oblique: 50

Can't wait to see my fit test results in a week or so!

As for my running, that is something that I haven't stopped doing. I'm actually still training for a 5K. I'm participating in Chicago's Hot Chocolate 5K on November 6th. I'm up to running 2.87 miles (so close!). I'll be doing the 3.1 miles by next week!

I think that's about it for right now... I'm starting to fall asleep so I'm going to bed. I have an active day ahead of me tomorrow... Insanity, Running, Tennis and garage sales, then going to a nice lounge for a friends birthday...

Oh before I go... I FINALLY got some pictures of that life changing bachelorette party I blogged about... Here's a few of my faves! Enjoy and good night!

See! I have an MGD 64 in my hand!

Having fun!

The girl in the middle is my next door neighbor/running partner and I work with both of them.

I was poppin' it like no body's business and my neighbor couldn't figure out how to do it... She was getting so confused! It was great!
