Little Battles - Getting the workout in

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Today I realized it IS getting easier to get up and do that hour at the gym. Last week was my first week going to the gym since I signed up. See I've had the membership for about a month now. At first, I made little excuses not to go in the morning. You know things like "Well there will be lots of people seeing me look like a klutz!!" Ok I realized the longer I don't do this the klutzier I am going to be because at the rate I'm going, I'm just going to get heavier. And bulk, for me, does not equal grace :-(( So last week it was 3 days out of the week at the gym. This week's battle is 5 days straight at the gym. Two days down :-)) Wooohoooooo

Now that I'm getting up earlier and pushing myself, I am finding ways to sneak in a extra few steps or repetitions at home. Next battle is already starting-food.

Way to go on the exercise.

It is only 10 - 20% of the battle in losing weight (but a big part of getting healthy). I did find that using the nutrition tracker has really helped me stay on top of my food. Now, after 10 months of Sparking, I've built a lot of good, new habits around food, so I might deal with cravings a few times a week instead of 20 times a day!

    Stay strong!

Congrats on going to the gym. Perhaps if you can, on weekends, get some walking in with the time you normally would get up.
