So I wonder what it is that makes me want to run. I mean, for the last 1:35 minutes I have been pounding the pavement, sweating, got a blister on my right toe (my first blister), got chaffing in between my legs (also my first) and got so miserably thirsty it was unbelievable. Yet I continue to do it every week, four times a week and I love it. So this week was the 8th week of my 15 week half marathon training. Half way there I guess. I have been feeling sick this past week so haven't ran much and haven't really been tracking my food. I still managed to put on 2 lbs though

. Go figure. My run today was wonderful. I still wasn't feeling well but I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. After all I'm 8-9 weeks from my half marathon.

So we ran from the usual starting point THE Y AT BAXTER VILLAGE and into the town of FORT MILL all the way to LEROY SPRINGS and up to that light then back. It was a perfect training route. The elevations varied and there were various forms of hills. We also ran through a small amount of the overpass to get across and be able to run to our destination. So the experience was great. I felt great for the most part. When we got to the 4 miles I started to get slightly lightheaded so I drank some of the gatorade our trainer provided us with. That's actually been my problem all week. I have been suffering from lightheadness/dizziness and nausea. NO I AM NOT PREGNANT AND IF I WERE I AM SUING THE CRAP OUT OF THE DR. WHO GAVE ME A HYSTERECTOMY AT 32.

I kept a steady pace at 11 m/min the entire run. My goal during the half is to run the hm in 2:30 hours so I am trying to maintain a pace of between 11-11:30 miles/minute. My feet are pretty sore now and I think that it's time to retire my sneaks and get me a new pair. Any excuse for shopping (that's what my husband is probably thinking).

Oh that reminds me. He bought me a cute NIKE t-shirt that has a little martian running. He said it reminded him of me.

Not sure if it was a compliment or insult but I love the t. Well I gained 2 lbs this week. For some reason during this not feeling well thing I have been hungry as crap. I didn't get to run my usual mileage this week but on Saturday my hubby took me to the gym and strength trained my chest, arms, and shoulders.

He was rough but since I don't like him to win I did not give up. Needless to say I paid for it the following day. Well spark friends will talk to you later. Hope everyone accomplishes there goals this week. See you in week 9.
