Time to recommit

Wow, I feel like I lost a whole week of my life, and can't say what I did with it! I haven't been to the gym in a week, and that's the first time in 7 months that I haven't worked out at least 3 days a week. It just seemed like one thing after another came up, some of it pretty trivial, like I left my Ipod at home, I don't want to go out in the rain, I'm having company for dinner. Things that a month ago wouldn't have stopped me. So, I've had my time off, and now I have to go face the music with my trainer tonight. He never yells or lectures, he just plans programs that include excessive numbers of squats, elbow planks and other things that are evil! And I expect he will be particularly "evil" tonight given my slacker ways for the past week!
The one thing I've really learned this week, though, is how crappy I feel after not working out! Really, I walked over to the building next to my office this morning, and felt terrible. And I want to regain my top spot in our Focus on Fall challenge team for strength training! It's these little things that help keep us motivated! So, last week is over and done, a new week begins, and I will get back to my 5+ days a week at the gym!
