Busy Weekdays

Monday, October 04, 2010

Monday and the start of another busy week with lots of extra meetings before and after the regular work day. Teaching demands so much time. I did squeeze in a short walk tonight, yea! And, I'm managing to track nutrition, but not always as accurately as I would like. Some of the kids are coming down with colds, and my brother said he had the chills when I dropped by for a quick visit. I'll be making sure to take vitamins, eat right and get plenty of sleep. Usually I can avoid most colds and flues by taking preventative measures. Hopefully I can get in a longer walk tomorrow after meetings are over.
Spark friends, how do you keep up with exercise when the days get shorter and busier?

If I were a teacher, I have NO idea how I would manage! Your schedules are punishing. My main strategy wouldn't work for you - it's going to be indoors DVDs, probably in the late morning, especially when weather is nasty. But I found that last night after my meeting I had energy left for strength training which I did while watching TV...or sort of watching TV...sometimes I can run indoors at night also, it doesn't keep me from sleeping... emoticon

Luckily I was able to join my university's rec center, and I swim there. But I also walk with my dog rain or shine, before it gets entirely dark.
