My Rules

Thursday, September 30, 2010

For the first 7 days on my diet (starting August 23, 2010) I ate meat only... No veggies, sugar, NADA. Just meat.

I had 4 slices of turkey bacon (jennie-o) every morning for breakfast (630 am).

For lunch 12pm, I ate 1 baked chicken leg quarter, seasoned with a little bit of everglades seasoning, lite salt and some complete seasoning by badia.

For Dinner I would either eat the same as lunch, or grill a steak seasoned with season all and a pinch of garlic salt.

As far as liquids go I tried to drink a gallon of water a day. Crystal light came in real handy, it has great flavors and it counts as water intake. I now can drink tea with no sugar at all, which is also great for me and counts as water intake. I did drink alot of diet sodas, but thankfully have pulled away from that now and mostly drink crystal light and plain water.

My first week I lost 11 lbs. Today I pretty much eat the same thing accept I added veggies. I have no more than 2 cups a day. I usually eat sliced cucumber with a little salt and vinegar with it and sauteed squash with a little lite salt added to it.

I know I need to add more carbs, but this is a good routine for me, in my opinion. So far I have lost 25 lbs to date.

Oh and I try to get as much walking in as possible. My goal is to walk 5 to 6 miles a week. I do not meet the goal every week, but I do get close to it.

I have just started adding small spurts of jogging into my walk, and it feels great. I can't wait till I am able to jog a mile in a half under 15 minutes......

Thanks for reading, please feel free to leave me your opinions. I need all the motivation I can get, although its pretty high right now! emoticon
