New month, new season, new attitude....

Thursday, September 30, 2010

I am sorely in need of a change. I don't know what has happened in the last few months to cause me to slip. I am lucky...I have not put the 20 lbs back on. I have just been marking time during the summer.

I have been reading blogs and articles (while multi-tasking) at work. It made a tedious task go faster :). What I have found out is that the 'detrailment train'....has a lot of riders on it. Well, folks...I am jumping off. My eating today is not indicative of that....but it has shown me that I am letting my 'laziness' win!

So, I have told my family..tonight is leftovers...I am hitting the gym. I commit to going to the gym 5 days a week..for at least 30 minutes. Not sure why I stopped...I really don't mind going to the gym. I think some of it happened when my grandson was waking me up in the night and I just couldn't drag these old bones out of bed at 4:30 AM. Actually, I realize that he was just a very cute and convenient excuse!

So, for the Fall...and for October...let's shoot for exercise 5 days a week, water every day, less fast food and more good for me food. I want to strive to be in my calorie range every day. I realize that fast food is a choice that I am making. Only 1 time a week is it absolutely necessary that I stop for fast food!

Last but not least....get on SP every really helps to read other stories and to track my food, water and exercise.

Bring on October!

Your are determined to take charge! And you will succeed!
You have a realistic plan. Exercise 30 minutes 5 days a week is sane. I eat fast food about once a week and I still loose weight. Like you said - just keep track of the calorie range and take care of yourself...eating more 'good for me' foods.
Take it one day at a time and it adds up fast - good results!
Best of luck to you as you continue your healthy living journey!
