1st and 10 (100 days left of 2010) - Sept. 23 - Oct. 3, 2010

September 23rd marked the last 100 days of 2010. I have decided to make goals for the 100 days that are left, 10 days at a time (1st and 10). It is fall and that means football season so I am basing this on football as I make my way down the field 10 yards (10 days) at a time and into the end zone (my goal weight).
This is a little late but here are my first set of 1st and 10 goals. I started thinking about what it takes to win a game and the first thing it takes it to stick with the basics. So back to the basics it is for me for this 10 days.
1st down. 8, 8 oz glasses of water (64 oz) a day or more.
2nd down. At least 3 servings of fruits and veggies a day. More is better.
3rd down. Log everything I eat. Yes this means even on the weekends!
4th down. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise 3-5 days a week.
Goal after the 4th down is to be on the next 1st and 10 and be down 2.5 pounds. I need to lose 2.5 pounds a week to reach my goal by the end of the year. The weight part is going to be the real challenge for the rest of this year.

Enjoyed reading your blog. I like how you likened your goals to the football game. Gave me some ideas. I would like to sign up even a week late but I have a knee replacement on Nov 5th which will knock me off course but not for long!! Wish you the best. 3475 days ago
