The next 10 in 12 - Half Marathon Style

My next goal is to train for my 3rd Half Marathon on December 5th in Las Vegas. I am looking to lose an additional 10 pounds during this process and will check in with a "Weekly Success Blog" to track my overall success and hurdles along the way! I am going to increase my long run by one mile each week. I really want to be at 10 miles the week prior to Race Day!

***Week 1 (Sep 27 - Oct 3)***
RUN 8-9 miles total
It is supposed to be 100 degrees every day this week = no outside running for me. Jeff is out of town Tues - Fri morning = more workout time!
Mon - OFF
Tue - Yoga 6am - gym 1 hour evening for cardio run min 2 miles
Wed - Sculptworks 6am - no workout in evening
Thur - Yoga 6am - gym 1 hour evening for cardio run min 2 miles
Fri - Spin class 5:30am or Gym evening for cardio run min 2 miles
Sat - Take a day Off or a hike with Rex early AM before heat!
Sun - Yoga and gym workouts – need to do a 3 mile run

***Week 2 (Oct 4 - Oct 10)***
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, do a 4 mile RUN

***Week 3 (Oct 11 - Oct 17)***
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, do a 5 mile RUN

***Week 4 (Oct 18 - Oct 24) *** Celebrate 2 years w/ Jeff and Vegas Trip
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, do a 6 mile RUNbefore weekend trip

***Week 5 (Oct 25 - Oct 31) *** 3 Miles 3 Beers Race!
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, and RUN 6 miles

***Week 6 (Nov 1 - Nov 7) *** Santa Clarita 5K Race goal
Run the 5K in under 30 minutes
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, do a 7 mile RUN

***Week 7 (Nov 8 - Nov 14) ***
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, do a 8 mile RUN

***Week 8 (Nov 15 - Nov 21) ***
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, do a 9 mile RUN

***Week 9 (Nov 22 - Nov 28) *** Week of Thanksgiving!!
Goals: Track workout, yoga, cross train, do a 10 mile RUN

***Week 10 (Nov 29 - Dec 5) *** Race Day is 12-5-10!
Race week – taper and relax. Yoga only and light jogging.

    Go Cat go! Looking forward to seeing your progress. What a great outline to get you started! Liked seeing some of your other goals along the way (SCV 5K) and also a trip to Vegas for your 2nd wedding anniversary! Wahoo ... congrats :)
