Week 1 Day 2 C25K Done

Last night was day 2 for c25k. I actually took the time to plan my route for day 2. While it still wasn't easy, it was 100% better than the first one. Another snag though. I had to stop a segment early. I live in the sticks and our neighborhood has street lamps that are very few and far between. Not only that, but a lot of our roads could really use some repaving, so for a klutz like myself, running in the dark just isn't the wisest of ideas. I could just see myself doing a face plant onto the street and rolling into the grassy storm drain. lol I could easily do this if I was running in the middle of the day with the sun directly overhead. Now even though I technically didn't finish that last part, I know that I could have done it.
I found that I was running at a much better pace. Now that could be due to my not choosing a path with giant hills, but one that had just a couple of slight hills.
The best part of this whole thing has been that this has giving me some time for myself. I get a chance to leave the kiddos at home with dh for a half hour, and just concentrate on something for me. I'm not one to take a whole lot of me time. So far, I'm enjoying myself. I'm also looking into buying a bike next. :)
Now if I could just get this scale to move. It's been holding steady for over 3 weeks. I've been losing and gaining the same 2 pounds all month long. lol Day 3 tomorrow evening, hopefully not in the dark, and if I can finish it, I will be moving on to week 2! :)
