Sunday was the 2010 Canada Army Run, in support of the Canadian army, or more specifically Soldier On and The Military Families Fund. It was a fantastic atmosphere, very patriotic. And amazing to see the strength of the injuried soldiers who raced both the 5K and Half marathons. (link to newpaper photo gallery: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/h

I think I saw me in there - I was near the front, in the first corral, to the left. A red hat hidden in the midst!
I had a much better time than my last official 5K time, for a finish time of 31:30 http://www.sportstats.ca/displ
It was a beautiful day - lots of sun, a little cool at 8am. It wasn't a great run for me, I wasn't full of energy (note to self: do not have a beer with your pasta dinner the night before a race). I think I was a little dehydrated - the beer, didn't drink much water before the race. Live and learn.
Now the training for the next 10K starts tomorrow. I'll have to learn to run in the evening, since I'm refusing to get up at 330 am to have time to run in the morning!
