Its the 18th day of the september challenge, I believe I am doing pretty well. Lost 6 pound since the beginning. What I cannot believe is that I did not exercise for two day , my calories where on the high side 1400-1500, and in one day I lost 2 pounds. How did this happen?? I do not know!!. I've been weighing my self everyday on this September challenge and i was so surprise this morning. My goals where to increase my fiber intake ( more then 25 grams ) a day and my protein also ( around 80 or more). I've been very good with that portion of my goals and plan. Have not been so with the exercise part. Just can not seem to find the energy after working 12 or more hours to exercise. So my reward I've made it to a new pair of pants. So once again WOW I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT!!!
I've join the message board 5 minute challenge and that is also working well for me
I am already sign up for the October challenge

Great job! You are an inspiration! Your posts are always so upbeat and positive -- even though your life is quite busy and hectic!

Don't underestimate the amount of exercise you get in a 12 hour shift! I'm sure you're on you feet for most of that time and the scale can help reflect that. Of course, working is not the kind of exercise that makes you feel great about your fitness -- hopefully you can find the time and energy for that too. I should talk, I'm struggling to find the time too!

    Keep posting! I love reading!

I know about those 12 hour shifts! I am a nurse too and I work nights, my plan is that I sleep until about 4pm and then i go to Curves before coming to work. For now that seems to be working. I found that when I ate more that I lost - who knew?

Good for you hun! :). The higher calorie days may have tricked your body. When we our bodies get used to the SAME amount of calories from day to day...we tend to hit plateaus. Sounds like you nipped that in the butt before it happened :). Keep fluctuating your calories and make your scale your new friend ;)
