all I can say is that it says a lot about the kind of man Matt is, that her parents would feel comfortable coming to your wedding, and how loving he is that he would take them into consideration. It may be something they need to see or experience for saying goodbye, or seeing Matt move on and be happy. From what you said she was a kind, sweet wife... I can understand your leariness about it... and how weird it would feel.. not knowing what to say/or do with them around.. Just be yourself, the generous sweet wonderful woman that Matt fell in love with.. They will see it too.
I'm glad you came around with those pictures, I thought they were lovely! I really love the one that shows off the tattoo.
As far the itching/hives, have you changed laundry detergent recently? Or used any kind of fabric softener? It looks like the redness runs along where your shirt would rub the skin in the video, it might be a reaction?
That situation you talked about with your fiance's first in-laws, I can imagine how awkward that would be. You definitely are handling it very maturely. I would talk to him about how you're feeling, and I would at least meet them once before your wedding. I'm sure once you meet them any anxiety you have about being judge by them will be gone.
Hope everything works out! And maybe you can make What I Wore Wednesday a weekly vlog challenge for the group too. That would be fun! =)
I agree with MARCIAC10 you may want to meet them before or after the wedding for dinner. It seems that they are a big part of his life, and so are you. I kind of understand how you feel…my fiancé calls his ex’s mother in-law…mom. He has not been with the daughter for over five years, but he still goes over twice a month to do yard work. Before meeting he…I just did not understand it. Now I see the big picture…she is a great woman that genuinely loves him like her own. 3289 days ago
It has to be hard to follow in the steps of his wife who passed. I would think it would help to meet her parents before the wedding. Then you might feel more comfortable about the whole situation. Regardless, you seem like a great person, and I don't think you need to stress about what they will think of you! 3289 days ago
