Ad Campaigns Why Lie

Thursday, September 09, 2010

I want to point out to ad companies that just because you put bigger people in you ads does not make me believe your product is any better, I have found most companies have done this because it is the "IN" thing to do right now but yet their selection of clothing in the size I need remains the same, WOW i love a sale where you had maybe 2 racks with things in the size I need and the rest of the store is full of size 2, wtg you must feel so proud.... I won't be back cause you obviously are just fallowing a trend in society, maybe you should become aware that the world is bigger I am going to be 27, my body is not that of a 12 year old girl. I cant fit into doll clothes. Don't invest in ad's that promote a healthier curvier girl, when you cant provide for them it just isint fair.
Instead invest in an unrealistic, airbrushed version of what a girl is, cause that is what your stores, products and clothes are doing.

I feel you on that one. You know what gets me? Catalogs for plus size clothing that feature small, thin models. How are you going to show me how a size 20 dress is supposed to look when you are modeling it on a size 4 body?! emoticon
