No More Dieting!

I have been in a funk about my eating. Over the last yr I joined Spark, I got within 1/2lb of my goal and by my one yr anniversary had gained back 2/3 of the wt I lost. Very frustrating. Everytime I try to start journaling, or restricting my eating in anyway, I immediately binge and feel really really bad about myself and continue to spiral into victimhood and depression. I was doing a google search on dieting and spirituality and found a website and liked the things this woman was saying. (why is it always a woman?) I will look for the site and post it here. She said and I have to agree, NO MORE DIETING. I refuse to journal, count points, calories, carbs ever again. She said that we really need to get in touch w/our hunger and gave very specific clues for doing that. She also said to be VERY picky eaters and only eat what we really really want. No food is off limits. The other clue is to eat to 80% full. I want to go back and read what she has to say some more, but I really like the concepts. She talks about gluttony and overeating and the fact that as we age, we just need less food. All this rings very true for me. I need to quit focusing on eating/food and learn to relax. So that's my goal for 2007. To be easier on myself. I will relax more, love myself more and just not sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff. The stress will kill me faster than the extra 10lb. Life is too short. Be well and feliz ya'll. Skinny
