I roll my ankle a little bit almost 2 weeks ago and didn't think much of it. Then, I ran a 5k (PR!) and took the next day off as usual. That Monday, ouch! 3 miles in I was limping home. I rested several days (and ate all along the way to drown my sorrows) and tried again Saturday. No dice. 3 miles in I was limping again. Taking more time off now, but a little (OK, a lot) worried about getting back into training for my half marathon on October 30 without much more delay. I am sleeping tons, eating too much and frustrated that I cannot run. I am doing yoga and went on a bike ride the other day but I really, really want to run! I am thinking of trying the elliptical at the Y tomorrow to see how that goes and at least get my heart rate up.
On a good note, I did swing the kettlebell on Tuesday for the first time in a long time. Gets the heart rate up while really working the muscles.... but not bothering the ankle. I am still sore walking around today but that just reminds me to get back to my KB a couple of days a week.
