Can I get a do-over?

Tuesday, September 07, 2010

Seriously??? This day needs to be reset already and it has nothing to do with me not going to the gym this has EVERYTHING to do with me witnessing a pedestrian getting hit by a pickup truck at the corner of my job....

It's raining here and the truck driver could not stop but in all legal sense, this would be the fault of the pedestrian...he was not crossing at a crosswalk, he did not run across the street...the truck had a green light and by the time he saw the person (was wearing dark clothes) it was too late...I saw the pedestrian fly up into the air and hit the ground....there is a vocational school across the street (this was an adult that got hit) and the people that ride the bus are always crossing the street in the middle of the sidewalk but if they know that traffic is coming they wait in the middle or they RUN across the street....this accident did NOT have to happen and I pray for everyone involved..thankfully the police/1st responders got there in under a couple of minutes and the hospital is less than 5 mins yeah, that is NOT how I wanted to start my day....

But onto the fitness topic...I didn't want to get up this morning, so I didn't...I enjoyed the rainy weather but will be doing strength training tonight when I get off so I'm not slackiing!!! I'm actually thinking I'll do the bike tonight, instead of the elliptical...trying to get some cardio variety going.....we'll see how it ends up going!!!

Oh's to a better day!

Oh my, I would be a mess if I witnessed something like that. My nerves are pretty bad and things like that shake me up bad. Hope your day gets better
