Shopping for a dress!!!!!The most depressing thing I have done in a while..

Sunday, September 05, 2010

I had the most depressing day trying to find something to wear to a wedding in the begginig of October..It was just awful,I know that I am big but it was just awful. This is the largest I have been ..I am trying really hard and using the meal tracker and I walk a lot lately even though it hurts my heel. I went to thrift stores and all and seemed like no luck..Just a bad day for me. I finally found something in a size that I never in my life thought that I would see. That is going to change..I just have to figure out how. Is it bad to keep skinny clothes in the closet? And the most terrible thing of all was seeing that I wasn't the biggest person shopping. I guess my self esteem needs a little work..I am going to get there.

Hang in there, it's hard, but all the single lbs lost add up. You can do it, just take it a little bit at a time. emoticon

Lindy36, I know exactly what you went thru. I stopped shopping and went to making my clothes. Well, that is not fun either. We had a wedding to go to in July, and I had nothing to wear. I made a top, beautiful gray organza only to have it so tight in my upper arm (never thought to test the pattern size there) that I could not wear it. So then I finished this other top, again to have trouble with my arms looking so big... so then I found this old pattern I bought, with huge sleeves, made it, and it fit, and my husband said what is that. I ended up finding a top in my closet that a girlfriend bought (Michael Kors) last Christmas... I prayed as I put it on... And my prayers were answered, it fit. So I wore an animal print to a wedding... So see we all have depressing times.... hang in there, you will find your dress.... if not, maybe I could make you one!!! I do have that organza top...size 22, if you want it... ha.ha.ha.
