OMG I have a Waist!!

OMG I can't believe it!! I have a waist! emoticon emoticon

The Great ---I know that I have lost pant sizes, but today I went to the local thrift store and found a couple of really nice shirts. And not the ones for plus size people that are loose and baggy--the fitted kind! They fit!! They fit well!! I bought 2 shirts, a nice top, a fitted fleece vest and a "goal shirt".

The "goal shirt" ,as my dad calls it, is a fitted polo shirt that I will have to work to fit into. I need firm up more to have it fit really well.

The Bad---On Thursday evening I almost lost my temper and that would have probably led to stress eating and skipping my workout. Why is it that some people are never happy unless they are causing strife in other people's lives. A gentleman that I know really hurt a good friend, badly and publicly. He also implied that the only reason my DH and I are her friends is to take advantage of her. She is a wonderful person and didn't deserve that.

It took my about 1 1/2 hours to calm down. During that time, I ate a healthy meal-could have blown it-and then went to the gym and had a good workout. The workout cleared my head and helped me to focus.

I truly believe that if I had gone to the gym immediately, my extreme anger might have caused me to overdue and possibly injure myself which could lead to a set back. I was not willing to risk that for the stupidity of one person. My friend has taken steps to ensure that this person realizes the mistake he has made. As for myself, I will let sleeping dogs lie unless he does something similar again.

Back to Great---Purchased "The Spark" online and received it Thursday. I am already on Chapter 5 and what a great read.

Got to go. Have a emoticon Sparktacular day!! I will!

You are doing a great job of keeping balance in all areas, that is the true victory! I admire your ability to cope positively with the situations that came up and to be able to reflect on how you can take care of yourself. Share that with the rest of us, and keep Sparking!
I'm only on Chapter 3 of the book, so I'll have to schedule somem time to get more reading done. Enjoying a couple of other books on CD during my walks.

Awesome news about your newfound waistline! Doubly awesome you were able to bite your tongue and keep your anger in check. I need to learn that. I am a Leo, and tend to tell people just what I think. Don't generally mean for my words to be hurtful, but sometimes they are. Working on it! Sounds like you are doing a great job at it! emoticon

i love that you understand your inclinations and your body that you ate(sensibly) first and THEN went to exercise--not OVER-exercise and suffer a setback...

and...do you know reading chapters in THE SPARK earns you spark points? it's kind of an extra bonus besides just the learning...ENJOY IT!!! emoticon

I admire you. You really seem to have it together - yes, even when you almost slipped up. The fact is you rose above it. People like this guy sometimes don't listen anyway. That might have made you even angrier. Great job!!! You deserve three trophies!
