While one week isn't a long time, I've found that with anything I do, it's easier to take it one week, one day, one choice at a time. I'm not going to lose weight by keeping my goals a year at a time; I'm only going to accomplish my goals if I make conscious decisions every minute of every day. I'm fighting the urge to weigh myself, because I don't want to make it all about the pounds I've lost.

If I'm going to be honest with myself (which is going to be absolutely essential for this journey) then I know that I am losing weight to look better. I want to look better, I want to feel better, I want to be a better me. I've accomplished a lot of things in my life so far, so this is just another one!
